The Orinda Water Polo Foundation was founded to preserve and enhance the legacy of Miramonte Boys Water Polo, one of the most successful high school athletic programs in the country. As the sport evolves and the competitive landscape intensifies, we provide the resources needed to ensure our athletes and the program excels now and for generations to come.

OUR MISSION

We support the Miramonte Boys Water Polo Program in pursuit of being the best public high school team in the nation.

LEADERSHIP

Orinda Water Polo Foundation, a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (FEIN: 93-2340954), is governed by an four independent board members consisting of alumni and past parents and supported by three officers, committed to supporting our mission and the program’s legacy. Led entirely by volunteers, the foundation directs all funds to support the program, with only minimal essential overhead required to operate as a nonprofit.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOALS

  • The program’s legacy didn’t just happen. It’s the product of high quality and consistent coaching. Your support provides compensation to coaches for their dedication, experience and value to the program, our athletes and the community.

  • Performance in the pool starts with focus and discipline out of the pool.  Your support provides necessary resources towards injury prevention, leadership development, time management, communication, and team building.

  • Top tier equipment and technology is essential for athletic growth and development. Your support ensures our athletes have the resources needed to train, prepare, compete, and recover at the top of the game.

  • The Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD) and Miramonte High School have launched a major initiative to modernize the Bill Brown Aquatic Center. However, community support is essential to upgrading expanding the scope of the base project to include long-awaited enhancements, such as:

    • New pool lights

    • New exterior paint

    • New scoreboard

    • New windscreens

    • New branding, signage, and Wall of Fame

    • Improved team rooms, offices, and storage spaces
